The Tennessee Titans narrowly defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 23-18 in a tightly contested Week 17 matchup, solidifying their playoff positioning as the regular season winds down. Both teams came into this game knowing the stakes, as a win was crucial for maintaining momentum heading into the postseason. Jared Goff led the Titans with two touchdown passes, effectively managing the game and capitalizing on crucial opportunities. C.J. Stroud put up solid numbers for the Steelers with 192 passing yards, but Cam Skattebo was the standout on the ground, racking up 117 rushing yards to keep Pittsburgh competitive. Puka Nacua contributed significantly as well, leading Pittsburgh in receiving with 94 yards. Defensively, the Titans were able to stifle the Steelers' late-game comeback efforts, with DaRon Bland leading the way with six tackles. The game's turning point came when Demario Davis intercepted Stroud in the fourth quarter, halting a potential game-winning drive and allowing Tennessee to run down the clock. Nolan Smith Jr. made an impact for the Steelers with 1.5 sacks, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Titans' timely defense and strategic play.
