The Pittsburgh Steelers secured a commanding 34-3 victory over the Carolina Panthers in Week 16 of the 2026 season, solidifying their playoff aspirations. This decisive win showcased the Steelers' dominance on both sides of the ball as they continue their push for postseason glory. Leading the charge for Pittsburgh was Cam Skattebo, who racked up an impressive 194 rushing yards, showcasing his ability to control the ground game. Meanwhile, Ty Simpson of the Panthers managed to throw for 181 yards, but struggled to find the end zone, with his top target, Jalen McMillan, only mustering 60 receiving yards. Defensively, the Steelers were relentless, particularly with Nolan Smith Jr. leading the charge with three sacks that stifled any momentum from the Panthers. The turning point came early in the second half when a Smith sack set up a short field for the Steelers, allowing them to extend their lead and ultimately put the game out of reach. The Panthers' inability to respond to Pittsburgh's defensive pressure proved to be the difference in this lopsided matchup.
