In a tightly contested matchup, the Chicago Bears narrowly defeated the Detroit Lions 17-13 in Week 12 of the 2026 season, solidifying their playoff hopes in the NFC. Both teams were looking to gain momentum late in the season, but it was the Bears who ultimately came out on top. Jayden Daniels led the Bears' offense with two passing touchdowns, showcasing his efficiency in the red zone. Meanwhile, Jordan Mason was a standout on the ground, racking up an impressive 146 rushing yards that kept the chains moving and allowed Chicago to control the tempo of the game. On the other side, Tyler Shough threw for 219 yards for the Lions, but his efforts weren't enough to seal the victory. Defensively, R Mason Thomas was a key player for Chicago, recording two sacks that disrupted Detroit's offensive flow at critical moments. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when a timely sack forced the Lions to settle for a field goal instead of a potential game-winning touchdown. With strong defensive plays and a balanced offensive attack, the Bears managed to hold off the Lions and secure a vital win.
