In a decisive victory, the Green Bay Packers topped the Carolina Panthers 34-19 in Week 8 of the 2026 season. The win solidifies the Packers' playoff aspirations, showcasing their offensive firepower and defensive resilience throughout the contest. Leading the charge for Green Bay was quarterback Baker Mayfield, who threw for an impressive 303 yards and four touchdowns, proving to be the catalyst for the Packers' offensive success. While the Panthers' Jeremiyah Love put up a stellar 150 rushing yards, it was not enough to overcome Mayfield's aerial assault. Oronde Gadsden also made his mark for Carolina with 98 receiving yards, but the Panthers struggled to find the end zone consistently. Defensively, the Packers stepped up when it mattered most, with Foyesade Oluokun recording a critical sack and Chris Johnson snagging an interception that shifted the momentum late in the game. The turning point came in the third quarter when Mayfield connected on a touchdown pass that extended Green Bay's lead to two scores, leaving the Panthers in a challenging position. With strong defensive plays and a potent offense, the Packers were able to hold off any comeback attempts from Carolina.
