In a thrilling season opener, the Indianapolis Colts narrowly defeated the Baltimore Ravens 27-20, kicking off the 2026 season with a statement win. The stakes were high as both teams aimed to set a tone for the year, but it was the Colts who emerged victorious on their home turf. Quarterback Jordan Love led the Colts' offense with an impressive 212 passing yards, while running back Kenneth Walker made a significant impact on the ground, racking up 106 rushing yards. Wide receiver DK Metcalf was a key target, hauling in 81 receiving yards and contributing to the offensive explosion that kept the Ravens on their heels throughout the game. Meanwhile, Lamar Jackson showcased his elite talent with two touchdown passes, but it wasn’t enough to secure the win for Baltimore. Defensively, the Colts made critical plays to stifle the Ravens’ attempts at a comeback. Jihaad Campbell stood out with 1.5 sacks, applying consistent pressure on Jackson, while the defensive unit as a whole managed to disrupt Baltimore's rhythm. The game's turning point came in the fourth quarter when the Colts' defense forced a key turnover, allowing them to maintain their lead and ultimately seal the victory.
