In an impressive showing, the Denver Broncos topped the Kansas City Chiefs 34-13 in the Wildcard Round of the 2026 season, securing their spot in the next phase of the playoffs. The stakes were high as both teams battled for a chance to advance, but the Broncos proved to be the stronger side on this pivotal night. Leading the charge for Denver was quarterback Matthew Stafford, who threw for 203 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his playmaking ability under pressure. On the receiving end, Ryan Flournoy contributed significantly with 73 yards, helping to keep the chains moving. Meanwhile, the Chiefs' RJ Harvey stood out on the ground, racking up 95 rushing yards, but it wasn’t enough to pivot the game's momentum in favor of Kansas City. Defensively, the Broncos made key plays that turned the tide, highlighted by a crucial interception from Talanoa Hufanga and a sack from Uchenna Nwosu, which disrupted Kansas City's offensive rhythm. The game's turning point came late in the second quarter, when Hufanga's interception led to a quick touchdown, pushing the Broncos' lead to an insurmountable margin. Denver's defense held firm throughout, limiting the Chiefs' scoring opportunities and sealing their victory in commanding fashion.
