The Pittsburgh Steelers triumphed over the Carolina Panthers with a final score of 21-12 in a crucial Week 16 matchup of the 2026 season. With playoff implications on the line, the Steelers secured their position in the postseason race, while the Panthers faced a tough setback in their quest for a wildcard spot. Rico Dowdle was the standout for Pittsburgh, amassing 74 rushing yards and providing a steady ground game that complemented their passing attack. Meanwhile, Tetairoa McMillan caught 75 receiving yards for Carolina, but it wasn't enough to propel his team to victory. Defensively, the Steelers made key plays that shifted the momentum of the game. Alex Highsmith recorded 1.5 sacks, disrupting Bryce Young's rhythm, while Jamel Dean's interception proved to be a turning point, halting a promising drive by the Panthers.
