In a tightly contested matchup, the Denver Broncos narrowly defeated the New York Jets 16-13 in Week 14 of the 2026 season. With playoff implications on the line, both teams fought hard, but it was the Broncos who managed to secure the crucial victory on the road. Bo Nix led the offensive charge for Denver, throwing for 228 yards and keeping the Jets' defense on their toes. Courtland Sutton emerged as his favorite target, racking up 70 receiving yards, proving pivotal in key moments. Meanwhile, Geno Smith contributed with a touchdown pass for the Jets, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Denver's offensive efforts. Defensively, the Broncos were relentless, highlighted by Jonathon Cooper's impressive 2.5 sacks, which disrupted New York's offensive flow. The game turned in the fourth quarter when Cooper's pressure led to a crucial fumble recovery, allowing Denver to maintain their slim lead. The Jets' defense, led by Trevin Wallace's nine tackles and D'Angelo Ponds' interception, made it a nail-biter until the final whistle, but ultimately, it was Denver that held off the late charge.
