In a decisive Week 12 matchup, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers topped the Carolina Panthers with a final score of 35-16, solidifying their position in the playoff race. The victory was crucial for the Buccaneers as they look to secure a playoff berth in the competitive NFC South. Bucky Irving was the standout performer for Tampa Bay, showcasing his versatility with 86 rushing yards and 53 receiving yards, making him a dual-threat that the Panthers struggled to contain. Quarterback Bryce Young led Carolina with 178 passing yards, but his efforts weren't enough to keep pace with the Buccaneers' explosive offense. Defensively, the Buccaneers made key plays that shifted momentum in their favor, most notably an interception by Tykee Smith that halted a potential scoring drive from the Panthers. Despite a solid effort from Carolina's Jaycee Horn, who recorded six total tackles, the lack of a consistent defensive presence allowed Tampa Bay to capitalize on their opportunities and maintain control throughout the game.
