In a tightly contested matchup, the Minnesota Vikings held off the Atlanta Falcons, clinching a 24-20 victory in Week 12 of the 2026 season. With playoff implications on the line, both teams came out swinging, but it was the Vikings who ultimately secured the win at home. Joe Mixon was the standout for Minnesota, rushing for an impressive 136 yards and finding the end zone to solidify his team's ground game. Jalen Milroe of the Falcons threw for 229 yards, connecting with Zachariah Branch for a notable 104 receiving yards, but their efforts fell just short in the end. Defensively, the Falcons made some key plays, highlighted by Jalon Walker's two sacks and Sydney Brown's interception, but it was Minnesota's ability to control the clock and limit big plays that proved decisive. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Vikings' defense stifled a crucial Atlanta drive, forcing them into a turnover on downs and sealing the game.
