In a thrilling Wildcard Round matchup, the Tennessee Titans narrowly defeated the New York Jets 21-19, clinching a spot in the next round of the playoffs. The stakes were high as both teams fought fiercely for postseason survival, but the Titans ultimately emerged victorious in a hard-fought contest. Quarterback Cam Ward led the way for Tennessee, throwing for three touchdowns and proving to be a decisive factor in the win. Geno Smith of the Jets put up impressive numbers, amassing 290 passing yards and connecting with Kenyon Sadiq for a standout performance that included 134 receiving yards. However, it was Ward's efficiency in the red zone that set the tone for the Titans' offensive success. On the defensive side, Alontae Taylor made his mark with five total tackles, helping to stifle the Jets' offensive momentum. Despite Joey Bosa's lone sack for New York and D'Angelo Ponds' interception, the Titans' defense held firm when it mattered most, particularly during the game's critical moments. A late fourth-quarter stop by Tennessee sealed the victory, showcasing their resilience and determination in the face of pressure.
