The Cincinnati Bengals kicked off the 2027 season with a commanding 37-14 victory over the Arizona Cardinals. Both teams were eager to make a statement in Week 1, but it was the Bengals who asserted their dominance early and never looked back. Joe Burrow showcased his elite skills, throwing for 304 yards and two touchdowns while leading a potent Cincinnati offense. Chase Brown contributed significantly on the ground with 86 rushing yards, while Colbie Young emerged as Burrow's favorite target, racking up an impressive 162 receiving yards. The Bengals' offensive efficiency was a key factor in their decisive win. Defensively, the Bengals made their presence felt, with Demetrius Knight Jr. notching a sack and Barrett Carter snagging an interception to halt any potential Arizona momentum. The turning point came midway through the second quarter when Carter's pick set up another touchdown drive for Cincinnati, stretching their lead and leaving the Cardinals struggling to keep pace. Harrison Smith led the Cardinals' defensive efforts with two tackles, but it wasn't enough to contain the Bengals’ offensive onslaught.
