In a decisive Week 14 matchup, the Houston Texans topped the Washington Commanders with a commanding final score of 52-24. The Texans’ victory solidifies their position in the playoff race, while the Commanders look to regroup as the season winds down. Offensively, David Montgomery was a standout for Houston, racking up 89 rushing yards and contributing significantly to the team's scoring effort. Washington's Jayden Daniels showcased his skills, throwing for 279 yards and two touchdowns, while Stefon Diggs led the receiving corps with 125 yards. However, it was the Texans' ability to consistently find the end zone that ultimately led to their victory. Defensively, the Texans made crucial plays that shifted the momentum of the game. Kayden McDonald recorded 1.5 sacks, applying pressure on Daniels throughout the contest, while Kamari Lassiter's two interceptions proved pivotal in halting Washington's offensive drives. The turning point came in the second quarter when Lassiter's first interception set up a quick touchdown, allowing Houston to pull away and maintain control for the remainder of the game.
