The Arizona Cardinals topped the Chicago Bears 20-7 in a decisive Week 3 matchup of the 2027 season. With both teams looking to establish their identities early in the season, the Cardinals leveraged their home-field advantage to secure a solid victory. This win not only boosts Arizona's confidence but also puts them in a favorable position as they look to build momentum moving forward. Quarterback Sam Darnold led the charge for the Cardinals, throwing for 155 yards and three touchdown passes to spearhead the offense. Jeremiyah Love contributed significantly on the ground with 71 rushing yards, while Jeremiah Smith emerged as Darnold's go-to target, racking up 86 receiving yards. Together, their efforts created a dynamic offensive display that kept the Bears on their heels throughout the game. Defensively, the Bears struggled to contain the Cardinals’ scoring threats, but linebacker T.J. Edwards did make an impact with an interception. Despite their best efforts, including a half-sack from Devin Bush, the Bears' defense could not generate enough pressure to disrupt Darnold’s rhythm. The game turned in Arizona's favor when Darnold connected with Smith for a touchdown in the second quarter, establishing a lead that the Bears could not recover from.
