In a commanding performance, the Kansas City Chiefs topped the Denver Broncos 35-14 in Week 8 of the 2026 season. The victory solidifies the Chiefs' position in the playoff race, while the Broncos continue to struggle to find their footing in a competitive AFC West. Patrick Mahomes was the driving force for Kansas City, throwing for 195 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his elite playmaking ability. He connected with Xavier Worthy for a standout performance, as Worthy racked up 131 receiving yards, making crucial catches that kept the chains moving and the defense on its heels. Meanwhile, J.K. Dobbins led the Broncos' ground attack with a modest 55 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Chiefs' offensive firepower. Defensively, the Chiefs were relentless, with R Mason Thomas leading the charge with two sacks and two total tackles, disrupting the Denver offense at critical moments. L'Jarius Sneed also made his presence felt with an interception, halting a Broncos drive that could have shifted momentum. The turning point came in the second quarter when Mahomes connected with Worthy for a touchdown that extended the lead to 21-7, leaving Denver scrambling to respond.
