In an exciting Week 4 matchup, the Houston Texans topped the Dallas Cowboys with a final score of 31-19, solidifying their position as a formidable contender early in the 2026 season. The victory not only boosts Houston's confidence but also complicates Dallas' quest for consistency as they navigate through the season. C.J. Stroud delivered a standout performance for the Texans, throwing for 305 yards and tossing four touchdown passes, showcasing his growth as a quarterback. Meanwhile, George Pickens shined for the Cowboys, racking up 100 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Texans' offensive firepower. David Montgomery contributed with a modest 27 rushing yards, yet his presence in the backfield was felt throughout the game. Defensively, the Texans made significant plays to secure the win, highlighted by Will Anderson Jr., who recorded an impressive 2.5 sacks, putting pressure on the Cowboys' offense. Azeez Al-Shaair also made his mark with a crucial interception, which shifted momentum in favor of Houston. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Stroud connected for a touchdown that extended the Texans' lead, leaving the Cowboys struggling to catch up for the remainder of the game.
