In a decisive Week 18 matchup, the Green Bay Packers topped the Detroit Lions 27-10, securing a crucial victory as they headed into the playoffs. The win not only solidified their position but also showcased their dominance at home against a divisional rival. Josh Jacobs was the star of the offense for Green Bay, racking up an impressive 128 rushing yards and contributing significantly to the team's ground game. On the other side, Jared Goff put up 235 passing yards for Detroit, with Sam LaPorta leading the receiving corps with 130 yards. However, the Lions struggled to convert those yards into points, ultimately hampering their chances. Defensively, Edgerrin Cooper was a standout for the Packers, recording nine total tackles and two sacks that disrupted Goff’s rhythm throughout the game. The turning point came in the second quarter when Cooper's sack led to a turnover on downs, allowing Green Bay to extend their lead and maintain control of the contest. The Packers' defense was relentless, ultimately sealing the game with their strong performance and keeping Detroit out of the end zone in critical moments.
