In a tightly contested battle, the Dallas Cowboys narrowly defeated the Houston Texans 17-12 in Week 4 of the 2026 season. Both teams fought hard for a crucial victory, but it was the Cowboys who ultimately emerged victorious, continuing to build momentum in their campaign. Leading the charge for Dallas was quarterback Joe Milton, who threw for 269 yards and two touchdown passes, showcasing his ability to move the offense down the field effectively. Running back Jaydon Blue contributed significantly as well, adding 65 rushing yards to the Cowboys' offensive effort. Despite a strong performance from Houston's Dalton Schultz, who recorded 99 receiving yards, the Texans struggled to finish drives in the red zone. Defensively, the Cowboys managed to hold off the Texans when it mattered most, relying on their disciplined play to limit scoring opportunities. The game's turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Texans failed to convert a key third down, allowing Dallas to maintain their slim lead. While Houston's Will Anderson Jr. recorded 1.5 sacks, the Cowboys' defense proved resilient, securing the win and keeping the Texans at bay.
