In a commanding performance to kick off the 2026 season, the Green Bay Packers defeated the Minnesota Vikings 35-14. Both teams were looking to set the tone for the year, but it was the Packers who quickly established themselves as the team to beat in this early matchup. Jordan Love led the charge for Green Bay, throwing for 251 yards and connecting for a touchdown, while Josh Jacobs dominated on the ground with 91 rushing yards. Kyler Murray kept things competitive for Minnesota, tossing two touchdowns despite the team's struggles, and Jordan Addison emerged as the top receiver with 84 yards, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with the Packers' offensive onslaught. Defensively, the Packers made key plays that shifted momentum in their favor. Jonathon Cooper recorded 1.5 sacks, applying consistent pressure on Murray, while Benjamin St-Juste’s interception helped halt a promising Vikings drive and solidified Green Bay's control of the game. With the strong defensive showing, the Packers not only secured the win but sent a clear message to the rest of the league.
