In a thrilling shootout, the Los Angeles Chargers narrowly defeated the Kansas City Chiefs with a final score of 65-52 in Week 6 of the 2026 season. Both teams came into the game looking to solidify their playoff hopes, but it was the Chargers who emerged victorious in this high-scoring affair. Chargers quarterback Jayden Daniels was the star of the night, throwing for an astounding 491 yards and seven touchdowns, showcasing his ability to stretch the field. He was well-supported by Isaiah Likely, who racked up 249 receiving yards, making crucial catches that helped the Chargers maintain their lead. Meanwhile, Malik Willis of the Chiefs was a standout on the ground, rushing for an impressive 270 yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Chargers' aerial assault. Defensively, the Chargers made key plays to swing the momentum in their favor, with Kenny Moore II recording two sacks and Travis Hunter leading the team with five total tackles. The turning point of the game came late in the third quarter when Daniels connected with Likely for a touchdown that pushed the Chargers' lead to two scores, giving the defense just enough cushion to hold off a late Chiefs rally.
