In a thrilling season opener, the Denver Broncos narrowly defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 37-31, setting the tone for an exciting 2026 campaign. Both teams displayed their offensive prowess, but it was the Broncos who emerged victorious in a hard-fought battle at Arrowhead Stadium. Malik Willis of the Chiefs showcased his skills with an impressive 360 passing yards and four touchdown passes, leading a dynamic aerial attack. However, it was Bijan Robinson’s ground game that stole the show for the Broncos, as he rushed for 107 yards, providing crucial support to the offense. Trey McBride also made his mark for Kansas City, racking up 131 receiving yards and keeping the Broncos' defense on their heels throughout the game. Defensively, the Broncos made key contributions to secure their win, highlighted by Dallas Turner’s 1.5 sacks that disrupted Kansas City’s rhythm. A pivotal moment came when CJ Allen snagged an interception late in the fourth quarter, halting a promising Chiefs drive and allowing the Broncos to maintain their lead. The combination of timely defensive plays and explosive offensive performances ultimately sealed the victory for Denver.
