In a commanding season opener, the Seattle Seahawks topped the New England Patriots 42-21, showcasing their offensive prowess and setting the tone for the 2026 campaign. With both teams eager to establish dominance, it was the Seahawks who took control early and never looked back. Caleb Williams was the star of the show, throwing for 359 yards and three touchdowns, displaying precision and poise throughout the game. Jeremiyah Love also made a significant impact on the ground, racking up 171 rushing yards, effectively complementing Williams’ aerial assault. Together, they formed a dynamic duo that kept the Patriots' defense on its heels all afternoon. Seattle's defense played a crucial role in the victory, with Dillon Thieneman leading the way with six tackles. The turning point came when Jihaad Campbell intercepted a pass in the second quarter, thwarting a potential Patriots score and allowing Seattle to extend their lead. Malachi Lawrence added pressure with a sack, further solidifying the Seahawks' defensive efforts and sealing the game for the home team.
