In a commanding display, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers topped the Indianapolis Colts 44-6 in Week 5 of the 2027 season. This decisive victory not only boosts the Buccaneers' standing but also highlights their offensive prowess against a struggling Colts team. Baker Mayfield was the star of the show, throwing for an impressive 353 yards and four touchdowns, showcasing his ability to spread the ball effectively. Ted Hurst III emerged as his favorite target, racking up 230 receiving yards, delivering explosive plays that kept the Colts' defense on its heels. Meanwhile, Jonathan Taylor managed to put up 79 rushing yards for Indianapolis, but it was apparent that the Colts’ offense struggled to keep pace. Defensively, the Buccaneers made crucial stops when needed, with Jacob Parrish snagging an interception that shifted momentum firmly in Tampa Bay’s favor. The turning point came early in the second quarter when Parrish's pick set up another scoring drive, extending the lead to 27-0 and effectively putting the game out of reach for the Colts. The Buccaneers' defensive pressure, along with their offensive efficiency, resulted in a lopsided score that underscored their dominance on the field.
