In a commanding display, the Green Bay Packers defeated the Detroit Lions 70-34 in Week 6 of the 2027 season, showcasing their offensive prowess and solidifying their position in the playoff race. The Packers entered this matchup looking to extend their winning streak, and they did so emphatically against a struggling Lions squad. Quarterback Jordan Love was the standout performer for Green Bay, throwing for an impressive 529 yards and seven touchdowns, marking one of the most explosive performances of the season. Tre Tucker also made his mark, racking up 139 receiving yards, while the Lions' James Cook III led the ground game with 76 rushing yards but couldn't keep pace with the Packers' high-octane offense. Defensively, the Packers were relentless, with Tyrek Funderburk leading the team with six tackles, while Dexter Lawrence II added 1.5 sacks to disrupt the Lions' rhythm. The game's turning point came in the second quarter when Benjamin St-Juste intercepted a pass, setting up another quick touchdown for Green Bay and effectively putting the game out of reach. The Lions struggled to recover, and the Packers capitalized on every opportunity to secure a decisive victory.
