In a pivotal Week 8 matchup, the Denver Broncos took down the Kansas City Chiefs with a final score of 31-20, solidifying their position in the playoff race. The victory was crucial for Denver as they look to maintain momentum in the second half of the season. Bo Nix was the star of the show for the Broncos, throwing for an impressive 348 yards and tossing three touchdowns. Chase Brown complemented the passing game with a strong ground performance, racking up 122 rushing yards, while Tee Higgins proved to be a reliable target with 138 receiving yards, showcasing Denver's well-rounded offensive attack. Defensively, the Broncos made key plays that turned the tide in their favor, including a standout performance from Jonathon Cooper, who recorded 1.5 sacks. Despite the Chiefs' Drue Tranquill leading the game in tackles with 12, it was Denver's defense that ultimately stifled any comeback attempts, especially in the second half, as Mansoor Delane of Kansas City picked off two passes but couldn’t change the outcome. The turning point came late in the third quarter when the Broncos' defense forced a crucial turnover, allowing Denver to extend their lead and secure the win.
