In a decisive matchup, the San Francisco 49ers cruised to a commanding 42-7 victory over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 7 of the 2026 season. This win solidifies the 49ers' position as a formidable force in the league, while the Falcons will need to regroup after a disappointing performance at home. Brock Purdy was the standout performer for San Francisco, throwing for 252 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his efficiency and precision throughout the game. A.J. Brown contributed significantly in the passing game with 83 receiving yards, while the 49ers' offense operated with fluidity that kept the Falcons' defense on its heels. Despite the scoreline, Bijan Robinson shined for Atlanta, rushing for 125 yards, but his efforts were overshadowed by the 49ers' offensive onslaught. Defensively, Upton Stout made a pivotal impact for San Francisco, snagging an interception that shifted the momentum firmly in the 49ers' favor. The game turned decisively late in the first half when Purdy's third touchdown pass extended the lead to 28-0, effectively putting the game out of reach for Atlanta. Though Zach Harrison recorded a sack for the Falcons, it was not enough to disrupt the rhythm of a dominant San Francisco team that executed their game plan flawlessly.
