In a high-stakes clash in Week 6 of the 2026 season, the Los Angeles Chargers topped the Kansas City Chiefs 38-24, solidifying their position in the playoff race. The Chargers' offensive firepower proved too much for the Chiefs, marking a critical win in their pursuit of postseason success. Quarterback Justin Herbert was the star of the show, throwing for 332 yards and five touchdowns, showcasing his elite talent and ability to connect with his receivers under pressure. Keaton Mitchell added a solid ground game with 75 rushing yards, while the Chiefs' Omar Cooper Jr. kept the game competitive with an impressive 151 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Chargers' offensive onslaught. Defensively, the Chargers made crucial stops, highlighted by Khalil Mack's sack and Eric Stokes' interception, which shifted momentum back in favor of Los Angeles. The turning point came in the second quarter when Stokes picked off a pass, allowing the Chargers to extend their lead and ultimately secure the victory. The Chiefs struggled to recover from that setback, unable to regain the momentum as the Chargers' defense held firm.
