In a commanding performance, the Denver Broncos defeated the San Francisco 49ers 42-21 in Week 4 of the 2026 season. With this victory, the Broncos solidify their position as a playoff contender, while the 49ers face tough questions moving forward. Bo Nix led the offensive charge for Denver, throwing for an impressive 352 yards and contributing to the team's scoring with a well-rounded offensive effort. Chase Brown was a force on the ground, rushing for 108 yards, while the 49ers' Brock Purdy showcased his skills with two passing touchdowns, though it wasn't enough to keep pace with Denver's high-octane attack. Mike Evans was the standout receiver for San Francisco, racking up 134 receiving yards, but the Broncos' balanced offense proved too much. Defensively, Justin Strnad made a significant impact for the Broncos, recording 1.5 sacks that disrupted Purdy's rhythm throughout the game. The turning point came in the second quarter when Denver's defense forced a critical turnover, allowing the Broncos to capitalize and extend their lead. Although Deommodore Lenoir recorded eight tackles for the 49ers, the defensive struggles ultimately hampered San Francisco's chances to mount a comeback.
