The Denver Broncos dominated the Indianapolis Colts in the Wildcard Round of the 2026 season, winning decisively with a final score of 44-14. This victory secures the Broncos' spot in the next round of the playoffs, showcasing their offensive prowess and defensive strength against a struggling Colts team. Quarterback Drake Maye led the charge for Denver, throwing for 228 yards and three touchdowns, effectively controlling the game. Chase Brown contributed significantly on the ground, racking up 112 rushing yards to keep the Colts' defense on its heels. While Josh Downs of the Colts had a solid outing with 88 receiving yards, it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Broncos' explosive offense. Defensively, the Broncos made their mark with Jonathon Cooper recording two sacks and Ja'Quan McMillian snagging an interception, both crucial in shifting momentum. The turning point came in the second quarter when Cooper's sacks disrupted the Colts' rhythm, allowing Denver to extend their lead and ultimately secure the win. Charvarius Ward Sr led the Colts' defense with seven tackles, but the team struggled to contain the relentless Broncos offense throughout the game.
