In a pivotal Week 3 matchup, the Indianapolis Colts topped the Houston Texans with a final score of 28-13, solidifying their position early in the season. The Colts aimed to establish dominance in the division, and they did just that with a decisive victory at home. Trevor Lawrence was the standout performer for Indianapolis, throwing for 298 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to lead the offense effectively. Jordan Mason added a solid ground game with 62 rushing yards, while Tyler Warren emerged as a reliable target, racking up 75 receiving yards to keep the chains moving and the Texans' defense on their toes. Defensively, the Colts were able to limit Houston's offensive production, forcing the Texans into tough situations throughout the game. The turning point came in the second quarter when Indianapolis capitalized on a turnover, allowing them to extend their lead and maintain control. While Jaylinn Hawkins of the Texans recorded seven tackles and Anfernee Jennings notched a sack, it wasn't enough to shift the momentum back in Houston's favor.
