In a commanding performance, the New York Jets topped the Miami Dolphins 34-17 in their season opener, setting the tone for the 2027 campaign. The Jets' victory not only showcased their offensive prowess but also underscored their ambitions for the upcoming season against a division rival. Drew Allar led the Jets with a stellar outing, throwing for three touchdowns and contributing significantly to the scoreboard. Najee Harris was a force on the ground, racking up 152 rushing yards, while Joey Jordan added to the aerial assault with 103 receiving yards. This offensive trio proved too much for the Dolphins to handle, establishing a significant lead early in the game. Defensively, the Jets made their presence felt, with Jaquan Brisker leading the team in tackles and Laiatu Latu recording a sack that disrupted Miami's rhythm. The game's turning point came in the second quarter when Allar connected with Jordan for a touchdown, extending the lead to 21-10. With the Jets' defense stifling the Dolphins' attempts to rally, they maintained control throughout the second half, sealing a decisive win.
