The Indianapolis Colts topped the Denver Broncos 28-21 in a tightly contested matchup that had significant playoff implications early in the 2027 season. Both teams were eager to establish dominance, but it was the Colts who came out on top, showcasing their offensive prowess. Colts quarterback Jordan Love had a standout performance, throwing for 267 yards and connecting for a touchdown, while Odell Beckham Jr. emerged as his favorite target, racking up 100 receiving yards. Baker Mayfield of the Broncos put forth a valiant effort, tossing two touchdown passes, but it wasn't enough to secure the win. Denver's Bucky Irving led the ground game with 76 rushing yards, providing a steady option on the offensive front. Defensively, the game featured several key moments that shifted momentum. Charvarius Ward Sr. of the Broncos made a significant impact with two interceptions, but ultimately, it was the Colts' ability to withstand pressure and convert critical third downs that made the difference. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Colts' defense stiffened, forcing a turnover on downs that sealed the victory and allowed Indianapolis to escape with the win.
