In a decisive Week 5 matchup, the Cincinnati Bengals topped the Arizona Cardinals with a final score of 31-17, marking an important victory for the Bengals in their quest for playoff positioning. Both teams came into the game looking to establish momentum, but Cincinnati's balanced attack proved too much for Arizona to handle. LaQuan Johnson shone for the Bengals, throwing for 2 touchdowns and leading his team effectively throughout the game. Kendre Miller contributed on the ground with 46 rushing yards, while the receiving corps was anchored by standout performances, including Matthew Golden of the Cardinals, who racked up 98 receiving yards, keeping Arizona competitive despite the final score. Joe Milton also put up respectable numbers for the Cardinals with 241 passing yards, but it wasn't enough to secure a win. Defensively, the Bengals made crucial plays that shifted the game's momentum. Devon Witherspoon was a standout, recording 2 interceptions that stifled any Arizona rally attempts. Odafe Oweh also contributed significantly, notching 1.5 sacks that pressured Milton and disrupted the Cardinals' offensive flow, ultimately sealing Cincinnati's victory and showcasing their defensive prowess.
