The Carolina Panthers topped the Jacksonville Jaguars 31-18 in a pivotal Week 9 matchup, solidifying their position in the playoff race. With both teams eager to secure their standings, the Panthers managed to pull away in the second half, showcasing their offensive prowess. Leading the charge for Carolina was their quarterback, who threw three touchdown passes, effectively orchestrating the offense. Meanwhile, C.J. Stroud of the Jaguars put up a valiant effort with 254 passing yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Panthers’ high-flying attack. The Panthers also benefited from a strong performance on the ground, highlighted by a 73-yard rushing effort from their running back. Defensively, the Panthers made crucial plays that turned the tide of the game. They recorded an interception that stifled a potential Jaguars scoring drive, giving Carolina the momentum they needed to extend their lead. Despite Jonathon Cooper's impressive 1.5 sacks for Jacksonville, it was Carolina's ability to capitalize on turnovers and pressure that ultimately made the difference in this contest.
