The Arizona Cardinals kicked off the 2026 season with a commanding 27-7 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. With both teams eager to establish momentum early in the year, the Cardinals made a strong statement, showcasing their dominance on both sides of the ball. Kurt Warner led the Chargers’ offense with 188 passing yards and one touchdown, but it was not enough to keep pace with the Cardinals' explosive attack. The Chargers' ground game featured **** Simpson, who rushed for 73 yards, while Khalil Shakir contributed 59 receiving yards. However, the Cardinals' offensive firepower proved too much, as they consistently found ways to move the ball and score. Defensively, the Cardinals were relentless, with Edgerrin Cooper leading the charge with four total tackles. Calais Campbell made a significant impact with two sacks, putting pressure on Warner throughout the game. The turning point came when Darien Porter intercepted a pass, halting a promising drive for the Chargers and allowing the Cardinals to extend their lead, ultimately sealing the game in their favor.
