In a commanding performance to kick off the 2026 season, the Miami Dolphins topped the Las Vegas Raiders with a final score of 44-21. This win sets the tone for Miami's ambitions in the new season, showcasing their offensive firepower and defensive prowess right out of the gate. Saquon Barkley was the standout star for Miami, rushing for an impressive 166 yards, consistently breaking through the Raiders' defensive line. Quarterback Jordan Love of the Raiders also had a noteworthy outing, passing for 286 yards and throwing two touchdowns, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Dolphins. The combination of Barkley's explosive runs and the Dolphins' high-scoring offense proved too much for Las Vegas to handle. Defensively, the Dolphins made critical plays that shifted the momentum of the game. Chop Robinson recorded two sacks, applying relentless pressure on Love, while Tacario Davis secured an interception, halting a potential scoring drive for the Raiders. The Dolphins' defense not only contained the Raiders' offense but also created key turnovers, marking a significant turning point that allowed Miami to pull away in the second half.
