The Minnesota Vikings secured a solid 20-12 victory over the Chicago Bears in Week 2 of the 2026 season, marking a crucial win for the Vikings as they look to build momentum early in the year. Both teams fought hard, but Minnesota's offense proved to be the decisive factor in this matchup. Kyler Murray led the charge for the Vikings, throwing for 225 yards and connecting on one touchdown pass. Meanwhile, Demond Claiborne added a strong ground game, rushing for 70 yards, which helped keep the chains moving and control the tempo. Rome Odunze was a bright spot for the Bears, racking up 87 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome Minnesota's offensive efficiency. On the defensive side, Andrew Van Ginkel was a game-changer for the Vikings, racking up 2.5 sacks and putting constant pressure on the Bears' offense. Byron Murphy Jr. also made his presence felt with a key interception that stifled a potential scoring drive for Chicago. The turning point came late in the third quarter when Minnesota's defense forced a critical turnover, allowing the Vikings to maintain their lead and ultimately secure the win.
