In a thrilling start to the 2027 season, the Buffalo Bills topped the Indianapolis Colts 27-20 in a matchup that showcased their offensive firepower and defensive prowess. Both teams aimed to set the tone for the year, but it was the Bills who came out on top in this Week 1 battle. Buffalo's Forrest Burks was a force on the ground, racking up an impressive 139 rushing yards and finding the end zone, while Trey McBride contributed significantly through the air with 78 receiving yards. On the other side, Colts quarterback Daniel Jones threw for 173 yards and tossed two touchdowns, keeping his team competitive throughout the game. The Bills' defense played a crucial role in their victory, highlighted by T.J. Parker's two sacks and Cole Bishop's two interceptions, which stifled the Colts' momentum at key moments. The turning point came late in the third quarter when Bishop's second interception halted a promising Colts drive, allowing Buffalo to maintain their lead and secure the win.
