In a compelling matchup, the Las Vegas Raiders topped the Cincinnati Bengals 28-17 in Week 3 of the 2027 season. The victory not only boosts the Raiders' confidence but also solidifies their position in the competitive AFC landscape as they look to maintain momentum in the coming weeks. Quarterback Fernando Mendoza led the charge for Las Vegas with an impressive performance, throwing for three touchdowns and helping his team build an early lead. Despite Cincinnati's Joe Burrow leading all passers with 230 yards, it was Ja'Marr Chase who shined for the Bengals with 131 receiving yards, but their efforts fell short in the face of a strong Raiders offense. Defensively, the Raiders were a force to be reckoned with, highlighted by Maxx Crosby’s 2.5 sacks that consistently pressured Burrow throughout the game. Eric Stokes contributed with seven total tackles, helping to stifle the Bengals' ground game. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Mendoza threw his third touchdown, extending the Raiders’ lead to 21-10, a gap that proved insurmountable for Cincinnati in the second half.
