In a tightly contested battle, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers held off the New York Giants, securing a 28-21 victory in Week 17 of the 2027 season. With playoff implications on the line, both teams fought hard, but the Buccaneers managed to outlast the Giants to clinch a crucial win. Offensively, Jaxson Dart led the Giants with 136 passing yards and one touchdown, but it was Malik Nabers who shined in the receiving game, racking up 102 yards. Bucky Irving contributed significantly on the ground for Tampa Bay, finishing with 42 rushing yards, helping to maintain the Buccaneers' offensive rhythm throughout the game. Defensively, Josiah Trotter was a standout for Tampa Bay, collecting five total tackles and two sacks, which were pivotal in applying pressure on Dart. The game's turning point came in the fourth quarter when Trotter's second sack forced a critical fumble, allowing the Buccaneers to regain possession and ultimately seal their victory. Despite a strong effort from Genesis Smith, who notched two interceptions for the Giants, it wasn't enough to swing the momentum in their favor.
