The Kansas City Chiefs cruised to a decisive 27-0 victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 16 of the 2026 season, solidifying their playoff aspirations while leaving the 49ers searching for answers. With the stakes high, Kansas City showcased their dominance both offensively and defensively, demonstrating why they remain a formidable force in the league. Patrick Mahomes orchestrated a masterful performance, throwing for 335 yards and two touchdowns, while Kenneth Walker added 84 yards on the ground to keep the chains moving. Xavier Worthy was the standout receiver, racking up an impressive 192 yards, consistently finding space in the secondary and making key plays to sustain drives. Defensively, the Chiefs suffocated the 49ers' offense, limiting them to zero points and forcing crucial turnovers. The game’s turning point came early in the second half when Jalen Pitre's interception halted a potential San Francisco scoring drive, allowing Kansas City to extend their lead and effectively seal the game. The relentless pressure from the Chiefs’ defense, combined with timely plays, proved too much for the 49ers to overcome.
