In a strong showing to start the 2027 season, the Dallas Cowboys topped the New York Giants with a final score of 27-12. The victory not only secures an early lead in the division but also sets the tone for a competitive season ahead. Dak Prescott proved to be the standout on offense, tossing two touchdown passes to guide the Cowboys' attack. Meanwhile, Javonte Williams anchored the ground game with 97 rushing yards, consistently moving the chains and keeping the Giants' defense on their heels. Jaxson Dart of the Giants, despite his 262 passing yards and Calvin Austin's impressive 94 receiving yards, struggled to convert drives into points. Defensively, the Cowboys were relentless, with Dee Winters leading the charge with eight total tackles and Quinnen Williams applying pressure with two sacks. The turning point came in the second quarter when Williams' pressure resulted in a critical turnover, allowing the Cowboys to capitalize and extend their lead.
