In a tightly contested matchup, the Arizona Cardinals held off the Jacksonville Jaguars with a final score of 19-13, improving their record to 2-0 in the 2027 season. The game was crucial for both teams as they aimed to establish early momentum in the season, but it was the Cardinals who emerged victorious on their home turf. Justin Fields led the Cardinals' offense with a standout performance, throwing for 320 yards and keeping the Jaguars' defense on their toes throughout the game. Trevor Lawrence managed to find the end zone once for Jacksonville, but it was the ground game led by Bhayshul Tuten, who rushed for 70 yards, that provided some offensive spark amidst a challenging day for the Jaguars. Defensively, the Jaguars made their presence felt, with Foyesade Oluokun recording 10 total tackles and Josh Hines-Allen contributing 2.5 sacks. However, the turning point came in the second half when the Cardinals’ defense stifled a crucial drive, allowing Arizona to maintain their lead and secure the win. The combination of timely stops and Justin Fields' efficiency ultimately sealed the deal for the Cardinals.
