In a dominant performance, the Las Vegas Raiders topped the San Francisco 49ers with a final score of 28-7 in Week 9 of the 2026 season. With playoff implications hanging in the balance, the Raiders showcased their offensive prowess, while the 49ers struggled to find their rhythm throughout the game. Leading the charge for Las Vegas was quarterback Fernando Mendoza, who threw for 346 yards and two touchdowns, displaying precision and poise under pressure. Receiver Dont'e Thornton Jr. had a standout game, racking up 189 receiving yards that kept the 49ers' defense on its heels. Meanwhile, the ground game for San Francisco was anchored by Christian McCaffrey's solid 109 rushing yards, but it ultimately fell short of sparking a much-needed offensive surge. On the defensive side, Treydan Stukes was a key player for the Raiders, recording four tackles and snagging an interception that turned the tide of the game. The Raiders' defense consistently pressured the 49ers and stifled their offensive efforts, making it difficult for San Francisco to mount any significant comeback. The game's turning point came when Stukes' interception led to a quick scoring drive, giving the Raiders a commanding lead that they would not relinquish.
