The Pittsburgh Steelers topped the New Orleans Saints 21-14 in a closely contested Week 7 matchup that showcased the resilience of both teams. With playoff aspirations on the line, the Steelers managed to hold off a late surge from the Saints to secure their victory. Leading the offensive charge, Tyler Shough threw for 168 yards and a touchdown for the Saints, but it was Rashid Shaheed of the Steelers who stole the show with an impressive 101 receiving yards. Travis Etienne Jr. contributed significantly on the ground for New Orleans, racking up 101 rushing yards and keeping the Steelers' defense on their toes throughout the game. Defensively, the Steelers were anchored by Robert Spears-Jennings, who recorded four total tackles, helping to limit the Saints' scoring opportunities. The turning point came in the fourth quarter when Pittsburgh’s defense held strong, forcing a crucial turnover that allowed them to maintain their slim lead. With Chase Young's two sacks adding pressure on the Steelers' quarterback, the Saints were ultimately unable to capitalize on their offensive chances, leading to their narrow defeat.
