In a decisive performance, the New Orleans Saints topped the Minnesota Vikings 24-7 in the Wildcard Round of the 2026 season, advancing to the next stage of the playoffs. With both teams vying for a shot at the championship, the Saints proved they were more than ready for the challenge. Offensively, the Saints were led by quarterback Tyler Shough, who managed to find his rhythm with 44 passing yards. On the other side, the Vikings leaned heavily on Justin Jefferson, who showcased his receiving prowess with 63 yards, while Jordan Mason contributed with 38 yards on the ground but couldn't find the end zone. Defensively, the Saints made their mark with Kool-Aid McKinstry delivering three total tackles and Justin Reid snagging an interception that shifted momentum in New Orleans' favor. The turning point came late in the first half when Reid's interception halted a potential scoring drive by the Vikings, allowing the Saints to take control and ultimately seal the victory.
