In a stunning display of offensive prowess, the Minnesota Vikings triumphed over the Detroit Lions with a final score of 91-31 in Week 15 of the 2026 season. The stakes were high, as both teams battled for playoff positioning, but the Vikings made a decisive statement with this overwhelming victory. Leading the charge for Minnesota was quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr, who threw for an astonishing 610 yards and 11 touchdowns, showcasing his elite playmaking ability. Wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. was his primary target, racking up an impressive 258 receiving yards, while RJ Harvey of the Lions put forth a valiant effort on the ground with 112 rushing yards, though it wasn’t nearly enough to keep pace with the Vikings’ offensive onslaught. Minnesota's defense played a crucial role in this lopsided affair, highlighted by Jailin Walker’s game-changing three interceptions and Shemar Stewart’s two sacks, which disrupted any momentum the Lions tried to build. The turning point came early in the second quarter when the Vikings scored three consecutive touchdowns, effectively putting the game out of reach and allowing their defense to dictate the game’s tempo.
