In a commanding performance, the Houston Texans toppled the Washington Commanders 41-14 in Week 14 of the 2026 season. With playoff implications on the line, the Texans delivered a decisive victory that solidifies their position in the postseason race. Drew Allar was the standout performer for Houston, throwing for 314 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to lead the offense effectively. J.K. Dobbins contributed significantly on the ground with 77 rushing yards, while De'Zhaun Stribling emerged as a key target, racking up 103 receiving yards. Together, they formed a potent offensive unit that overwhelmed the Commanders' defense. Houston's defense also played a crucial role in the outcome, highlighted by Patrick Surtain II’s interception that shifted the momentum in their favor. The turning point came early in the second half when Surtain's pick set up another scoring drive for the Texans, extending their lead and demoralizing Washington. Despite a strong effort from Cooper DeJean, who recorded nine tackles, the Commanders struggled to contain Houston's offensive firepower throughout the game.
