In a tightly contested matchup, the Dallas Cowboys narrowly defeated the Buffalo Bills 13-7 in Week 2 of the 2027 season. Both teams were looking to establish early momentum, but it was Dallas that managed to secure the win in a gritty performance. Dallas quarterback DeVonta Smith led the receiving corps with 73 yards, showcasing his ability to make crucial catches when it mattered most. On the other side, Jordan Love of the Bills put up impressive numbers with 223 passing yards and one touchdown, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Cowboys’ defensive efforts. Jonathan Taylor contributed on the ground for Buffalo with 45 rushing yards, but the offense struggled to find rhythm throughout the game. Defensively, Marlon Humphrey stood out for the Cowboys with nine total tackles, helping to stifle the Bills' offensive approach. The game’s turning point came when Jalen Pitre's interception shifted momentum back to Dallas late in the fourth quarter, allowing them to seal the victory. Despite a strong performance from the Bills' Jonathan Allen, who recorded a sack, it was the Cowboys' defense that ultimately made the crucial plays to secure the win.
