In a thrilling Week 3 matchup, the Seattle Seahawks topped the Detroit Lions with a final score of 41-23, solidifying their place in the early season standings. The Seahawks showcased their offensive prowess, while the Lions struggled to keep pace in a game that had significant playoff implications as the season progresses. Caleb Williams led the charge for Seattle, throwing for 256 yards and two touchdowns, demonstrating his command of the field. Meanwhile, RJ Harvey racked up 123 rushing yards for Detroit, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba made an impressive mark with 210 receiving yards, giving the Lions a glimmer of hope throughout the contest. However, Seattle's offense was relentless, finding ways to exploit gaps in the Lions' defense. Defensively, Gabe Jacas was a standout for the Seahawks, recording 2.5 sacks that disrupted the Lions' offensive flow and contributed to key turnovers. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Seattle's defense forced a crucial turnover, leading to a touchdown that shifted momentum firmly in their favor. Despite a valiant effort from Detroit's Craig Woodson, who tallied five total tackles, it was Seattle's combination of relentless pressure and opportunistic play that sealed the victory.
